THE WINE
Roero Arneis DOCG is a prestigious white wine from the Piedmont region in northwestern Italy. It is named after the Roero area, located on the left bank of the Tanaro River. The wine achieved DOCG status in 2005, recognizing its high quality and regional importance. Known for its freshness, elegance, and aromatic profile, Roero Arneis is often referred to as the "white Barolo" due to its noble heritage and local popularity.

VARIETAL COMPOSITION
100% Arneis

VINEYARD NOTES
The vineyards for Roero Arneis DOCG are located in the hilly terrain of the Roero zone, in Piedmont's Cuneo province. Soils here are primarily sandy with layers of limestone and clay, offering excellent drainage and minerality. The region enjoys a continental climate with marked day-night temperature variations, ideal for preserving acidity and developing complex aromas in the Arneis grape. Vines are often planted on south- facing slopes for optimal sun exposure.

TASTING NOTES
Roero Arneis typically displays a pale straw yellow color with greenish hues. On the nose, it offers delicate aromas of white flowers, peach, pear, and hints of citrus and almonds. The palate is fresh and well-balanced, with medium body, crisp acidity, and a slightly mineral finish. Some versions may show subtle herbal or fennel notes. It pairs well with seafood, light pasta dishes, white meats, and mild cheeses.
