El Canto de la Alondra is a single-varietal Tempranillo wine crafted by Silvia González García under the D.O. Ribera del Duero designation. She handles every step of the process herself from harvest to pruning and bottling, in this project that began in 2014 with 1.5 hectares of land to create her wine, and she has truly excelled.

The grapes come from a single vineyard located on the plateau of Olmos de Peñafiel in Ribera del Duero. These vines, averaging 30 years old, grow on calcareous soil with limestone gravel at an altitude of 880 meters, one of the highest zones in Valladolid.

Appearance: Cherry red color with a deep, bright, and clean hue. When swirled, it leaves abundant, quick, and tinted tears on the glass.

Nose: High intensity with a strong presence of red and black fruits (currant, plum, blackberry). Floral notes. Hints of dried fruits, spices, and toffee.

Palate: Offers a broad entry with an elegant, expansive, and luscious mouthfeel. Silky texture with ripe, sweet tannins. Good acidity. Great persistence with a long finish.

Aging: Spontaneous malolactic fermentation immediately after racking. Aged on its lees for 12 months in 21 French oak barrels and 2 American oak barrels, all made from extra-fine grain wood, with periodic bâtonnage throughout the aging process. Naturally stabilized during aging and later clarified in the barrel using a plant-based clarifying agent.
