Atalaya del Camino is a compelling red from Almansa that unites the bold intensity of Garnacha Tintorera with the elegant depth of Monastrell. Fermented separately and matured in French and American oak before final blending, it reveals remarkable structure, richness, and freshness. The wine delivers a balanced, meaty profile with a vibrant red-fruit core, aromatic spices, and a notably long, graceful finish-crafted to narrate the power and finesse of Almansa's ancient vineyards.

VINEYARD NOTES
Produced by Bodegas Atalaya (Gil Family Estates), this wine comes from 45-year-old, low-yielding vines grown at 700-1,000 m elevation in Almansa, Albacete, Spain. The vineyards sit on sandy, limestone-rich soils, benefiting from a continental climate softened by Mediterranean breezes. Viticulture emphasizes terroir expression, paired with strict varietal handling in the cellar. The result is a wine of compelling depth, reflecting both altitude's freshness and the intensity of ancient clay-lime soils.
TASTING NOTES
Deep, intense red with violet hues, the nose unfolds layers of ripe red-berry fruit, subtle spices, black fruit preserves, toasted aromas, Arabica coffee, menthol, and toffee. On the palate, it is meaty, structured, yet fresh and balanced, with robust tannins seamlessly integrated. The long finish lingers with complexity—red and black fruit, smoky nuances, and an underlying freshness-offering a memorable and refined experience.
