Pago Negralada comes from a plot of Tempranillo, the finest Spanish grape variety. The vines were planted on soils with deep gravel and surface sand, giving the wine a firm, tannic character. It is a wine with a long history and superb potential for ageing; it is deeply rooted in the past, but will continue to triumph into the future.
Mid-to-high colour intensity, typical of the vintage. It has a fragrant and complex nose, with hints of red and black fruits (raspberries, redcurrants, blackberries) and spiced notes of clove, laurel and black tea. Refreshing on the palate and bold in structure, with smooth tannins and a very pleasing flavour. Notable for its long finish. A great Tempranillo from a cooler vintage, in the classic style.
