THE WINE
Masi Riserva Costasera Amarone Classico is a prestigious red wine from the Veneto region of Italy, crafted using the appassimento method-where grapes are partially dried to concentrate flavors and aromas. This Riserva is a special selection from Masi's historic Costasera vineyards, aged longer than the standard Amarone, offering greater complexity, depth, and aging potential.
VARIETAL COMPOSITION
Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta, Molinara.
VINEYARD NOTES
The Costasera vineyards are located on the western slopes of the Valpolicella Classico zone, facing Lake Garda. These sun-facing terraces benefit from the lake's moderating influence, which helps extend the growing season and ensures optimal ripening. The soil rich in limestone and well-drained, ideal for the appassimento technique. Masi employs traditional methods with innovative touches to enhance quality and expression of terroir.
